Meet Your Trainers

Randy Vera

Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas Randy has over 25 years experience in Muay Thai and Mixed Martial Arts.

He has been teaching for 15 years and also competes professionally in MMA and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Randy is a Gracie Humaitá Black Belt under Paulo “Coelho” Brandão.

Randy is the head coach and co-owner at Austin Kickboxing Academy in Austin, TX.

TESSA SIMPSON

Tessa started her training in Guam at the age of 17, then later moved to Texas to attend college. She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.

Tessa is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt and has years of Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu, and MMA experience. She is currently signed to Invicta Fighting Championship.

Tessa is a coach and co-owner at Austin Kickboxing Academy in Austin, TX.

Our programs are designed to be done at home or at the gym. Find an open space in your living room, garage, or get some fresh air and train in your backyard!

You only need about 4 ft x 4 ft amount of space to get started with your basics. Couple’s training and partner drills will require at least 8 ft x 8 ft of working space.

Yes! Our Couple’s training program would be the perfect course for you if you are looking to train with a friend, spouse, family member, or child. It includes all of the basics from our individual program, along with drills you can do with a partner!
